WE'RE ENGAGED!
8 months ago wonderful, amazing man walked into my life and changed everything. And on Monday night, I agreed to be Andrew's Mrs.! Everyone who reads this site already knows, as I'm pretty sure we're all happy little Facebook friends, but I can't stop shouting the news to whoever will listen (repeatedly) so thank goodness I have this handy blog for extra news-sharing, right? :) I wouldn't want to miss someone!
Soooo, we are just 2 crazy kids in love, and I should avoid cliches like "I've never felt this way about anyone else" and "he's the man I've been praying for" but all of those things are true. I just can't believe I'm actually feeling and saying them and looking into the eyes of the man whose life I want to share. Beautiful, beautiful blue eyes. And blonde hair. Gosh he's gorgeous. We will of course have The Cutest Kids In The World. You've been warned. :)
Most importantly, Andrew is a man of character. The things I value most are exactly what he brings to the table: patience, integrity, empathy, confidence, self-control, perserverence, bravery, humility. He says what he means and means what he says. He doesn't need to tear others down in order to build himself up. He loves the Lord and is committed to being a man of integrity. He endures trials and emerges stronger. He stands up in the face of adversity. He understands the value of being humble and selfless and letting someone else’s light shine. Loving & patient. He is, as the Bible puts it, "quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry." He's the calm in the middle of the storm. Intelligent. Kind. Funny. I could go on and on and on...and I look forward to gushing about his awesomeness for the rest of my life.
Love this man.
Oh, and he's a BAYLOR BEAR! Icing on the cake! :) Maybe we should have a green & gold BU-themed wedding...
